Who is Ready for the 2nd Annual Seabrook Idol?

Updated: Dec 27, 2022

Red's Kitchen and Tavern will be hosting the second season of Seabrook Idol. Created to showcase regional solo singing talent and bring live performance heat this winter. The competition will play out over five weeknights in January, beginning on Tuesday, January 3 at 8PM, and continuing on January 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Last year the inaugural show was a huge success and featured celebrity judges and awarded prizes for the top three acts, with a grand prize of $1,000 and a studio-produced recorded music video.

This year is no different! The celebrity judges are all recognizable and have a diverse background in the music industry. From the rock and roll world will be Pat Badger who plays base for the band Extreme. He will be joined by fellow rocker Joey Pafumi, drummer for the band Trout.Former United States Senator and musician Scott Brown will be judging alongside several other music world notables. The show will be Emceed by Jay Psaros. Director of Entertainment for Red's, Francoix Simard said, "It’s a creative way to spotlight local amateur and semi-professional artists . We’re looking to get these acts seen, have live audiences vote on them and factor that score in with the celebrity judges’ scores. After four weeks of competition, we’ll select our top three."

Last year's winner Micah Peterson will be on hand entertaining the live audience. Michelle Brooks Thompson, a finalist on Season 3 of the Voice, is an award winning independent artist will perform. Sharing the stage for the Seabrook Idol show will be Zachary Newbould. Zach appeared on this past season of the Voice and is a singer/song writer that can be found on stages all over New England.

Musicians and Beyond will be there and looking forward to having the winner of this year's show on our podcast. Hope to see you all there!
